Last week i went down to L.A. to work with long time friend and collaborator, Theo Love ofGoodnight Smoke. During the last day of our shoot, we started dinking around (my new favorite phrase) in the studio. We shot a video of Theo shooting a video. Pretty epic, I know.

We shot with the 35mm adaptor, the Letus Extreme. It's kind of the coolest thing ever right now.

Jesusita Fire

We had quite an eventful last week. A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in the hills directly behind our home, near a trail called Jesusita (hence the name of the fire). We were evacuated and displaced for 3 days, but gracious friends housed us during this time. Praise God--we are now back and our home is okay. About 80 homes were lost, though...please pray for the people affected.

The fire burned over 9000 acres of mostly mountain but also some residential areas. It came extremely close to our home, so we are very grateful to the fire fighters but more so to our merciful God who sent cool ocean air on Friday night to calm the fire instead of the weather forecasted hot, dry, and windy desert air. The beautiful mountains behind our house are now scorched and barren, but we are thankful.
